~ Performance Information ~

Important! Please Read!

1. This event is all about FUSION. Please make sure your performance displays that.

2. The Evening Showcase is invitation only. This showcase is reserved for workshop instructors, headliners, long-time supporters, competition winners and ""People's Choice Winners".

3. There are no exhibition performances during the Hybrid competition. There will be no performance other than competitors. We have moved the performances to the UnderBelly show.

4. All sign up performances will take place during the UnderBelly show. Spaces are limited. The first registrations, and repeat supporters of Fusion Fest will be given seniority with placement. It is recommended that you register quickly to assure a spot.

5. ONLY Intermediate/advanced/professional level dancers/groups are requested for performance.

6. Samira Il Naia holds the right to place performers accordingly, for overall effect and flow of the show.

7. Due to the growth of our event and number of registrations, there will be only one spot granted per group. (Soloists and duets are considered separate from group affiliation)

8. You must complete a registration form for each request. (ex. 1 solo, 1 group)

9. ALL DANCERS performing must sign and return a Release of Liability and Indemnity Form. Please make copies as needed. (If there are 12 in your group, I need 12 signatures returned)

10. All performance registrations must be received by June 15th. Dance spots are very limited and will fill up very quickly. There will be absolutely NO exceptions. The sooner you register, the more likely you are to get a spot.

11. Along with your registration form please send:

Your music

Your piece only- On CD in wma, wav, mp3, or mp4 format

Clearly marked with your group/soloist/duet name

Your bio & introduction—‘short & sweet’ please

All liability release forms

12. Performers will get a discounted rate for the UnderBelly & Hybrid. Dancers performing in UnderBelly will pay $5 (regularly $10) per ticket.

13. It is NOT required that you take a workshop to perform. However, those who DO take the workshops will be given performance spots first.

14. Competitors are allowed to perform at UnderBelly and are eligible for the "People's Choice Award". You may perform and compete, you may not repeat the same piece.

15. At show time, please check in with the stage manager 30 minutes prior to stage time. If you are late, you will be skipped.

16. ONLY performers are allowed backstage and in the dressing rooms. At our event, headliners are pampered and often provided separate dressing rooms, please respect their space.

17. There will be a table provided for any FREE promotional brochures, business cards, etc. performers wish to distribute.

18. Live music/musicians on stage, must first be okayed by Samira.

19. Excluding the competition, record whatever you want!!! We only ask that there be no flash photography and no tripods. DO NOT post or distribute video of any performances other than your own without first asking for permission. The Fusion Fest 2012 DVD will contain alternative material, and not the entire show.
