~ Performance Information ~

Important! Please Read!

1. This event is all about FUSION. Please make sure your performance displays that.

2. For 2010, the Evening Showcase has very limited spaces available. The first registrations, and repeat supporters of Fusion Fest will be given seniority with placement. All performance registrations not placed in the Evening Showcase, will be placed in the Saturday Showcase taking place throughout the day. This DOES NOT mean you must compete. All groups will be informed ASAP as to which showcase they will be performing in.

3. ONLY Intermediate/advanced/professional level dancers/groups are requested for performance.

4. Samira Il Naia holds the right to place performers accordingly, for overall effect and flow of the show.

5. Due to the growth of our event and number of registrations, there will be only one spot granted per group. (Soloists and duets are considered separate from group affiliation)

6. You must complete a registration form for each request. (ex. 1 solo, 1 group)

7. ALL DANCERS performing must sign and return a Release of Liability and Indemnity Form. Please make copies as needed. (If there are 12 in your group, I need 12 forms returned)

8. All performance registrations must be received by June 1^st. Dance spots are very limited and will fill up very quickly. There will be absolutely NO exceptions. The sooner you register, the more likely you are to get a spot.

9. Along with your registration form please send:

Your music

Your piece only- On CD in wma, wav, mp3, or mp4 format

Clearly marked with your group/soloist/duet name

Your bio & introduction—‘short & sweet’ please

All liability release forms

10. As previous years, there are no performance fees.

11. Performers do NOT need to purchase tickets to Hybrid, or ‘UnderBelly’. They are complimentary for participating in the Festival.

12. Discounts for ‘Evening Showcase’ tickets are only available through the discounted packages. Daytime performers will pay half price ($10).

20. It is NOT required that you take a workshop to perform. However, those who DO take the workshops will be given performance spots first.

21. ~~Competitors are not allowed to perform during the day, other than in their category.~~ This condition has been removed. You may perform and compete, just please don't repeat the same piece.

22. At show time, please check in with the stage manager 30 minutes prior to stage time. If you are late, you will be skipped.

23. ONLY performers are allowed backstage and in the dressing rooms. At our event, headliners are pampered and often provided separate dressing rooms, please respect their space.

24. There will be a table provided for any FREE promotional brochures, business cards, etc. performers wish to distribute.

25. Live music/musicians on stage, must first be okayed by Samira.

26. ~~There is ABSOLUTELY no videotaping or filming permitted at the Evening Showcase, unless permitted by Samira.~~ Excluding the competition, record whatever you want!!! We only ask that there be no flash photography and no tripods. The Fusion Fest 2010 DVD will contain alternative material, and not the entire show.
